Change widget text of Complete an order and Referral program

BON version 1.2 has launched with improvements on “Complete an order” and “Referral program” rules. These improvements may affect its widget texts on your store’s front-end. Here is our guideline.

1. Complete an order #

From BON Admin > Go to Point programs > Earn points tab > Complete an order option > Click Edit, you will see there are two options for customers to earn points.

If you choose Fixed amount of points: Enter points value > Save. The text in your store widget will be the same with what you have set up in BON admin, so you don’t have to go to Widget text to customize.

If you choose Increment of points, the default text “Earn 10 points for every 1$” will show on your store’s front-end. Therefore, you must go to Widget text and change it to the correct value you set up in the Earn points tab.

For example, you set up the rule as “Earn 2 points for every 1$”. Follow the steps down below:

• Enter the points value (e.g: 5 points) > Save > Enable complete an order

• Go to Appearance > Widget text > Earn points tab

• Click on the field number 3

• Enter in the field the points amount corresponding to the points amount you have entered in the Complete an order rule (E.g: Earn 2 points for every 1$)

• Click Save

Note: If you add other languages beside the default language in your online store, remember to customize the text for those languages too.

2. Referral program #

These default texts will show on your front-end:

So you must go to widget text and change it to the correct value you set up in the Earn points tab.

From Dashboard > Point Programs > Referral program

Click Edit, click on Type: Choose your type of reward for referrer and referral friend

If you choose Coupon:

• Select the coupon type: Amount / Percentage

• Enter the coupon value

• Click Save > Enable referral program

• Go to Appearance > Widget text > Referral program tab or you can directly go to Widget text to edit text for referral program by clicking the Widget text hyperlink in the note when you set up your referral program.

• Click on fields number 3 and 4

Enter the value and coupon type you have chosen in the referral program > Save

Examples:

You will get 50 points

They will get 5% of their current total points

Note: If you add other languages beside the default language in your online store, please remember to customize the texts for those languages too.
